Dr. Philip Smalley is the retired Senior Vice President and Global Chief Medical Officer for »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿ International Corporation. He is responsible for medical research and for assisting product development. Dr. Smalley is also Managing Director of The Longer Life Foundation, the not-for-profit partnership between »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿ and Washington University School of Medicine that funds clinical research into lifestyle, environmental and genetic factors that impact mortality and morbidity.

An internal medicine specialist, Dr. Smalley, who joined »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿ International in 1999, has 24 years of experience in insurance medicine. Previously, he consulted for many direct insurance companies and also practiced medicine at a University of Toronto-affiliated teaching hospital.

Dr. Smalley received his medical degree from the University of Toronto, and his undergraduate degree from McMaster University, Ontario, Canada. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a Past President of the Canadian Life Insurance Medical Officers Association.
