Dr. Kamakhya Das is Head of Underwriting and Claims for Southeast Asian Markets. He leads »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿'s development, implementation, and governance of underwriting and claims philosophy for the Southeast Asian markets. Dr. Das works closely with »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿'s Southeast Asia leadership team to further extend »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿'s biometric expertise in support of Creation Re ambitions. He ensures »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿ continues to grow with excellence, leveraging AI and technology to bring the best solutions to our clients in Southeast Asia.
Dr. Das brings over two decades of experience in the life and health insurance and reinsurance industry, having led underwriting, claims, product development, and strategic risk management initiatives across multiple APAC markets. Dr. Das previously served as Chief Medical Underwriter (APAC) at Partner Re in Hong Kong, where he built the regional underwriting and claims functions from the ground up. Prior to this, he held underwriting leadership roles in India at »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿, Swiss Re, and various direct insurers, driving significant transformation projects, risk-scoring model development, fraud management frameworks, and large-scale underwriting process re-engineering.
Dr. Das holds a degree in Medicine (MBBS) and a Master's Diploma in Health Administration.
