Jonathan Porter is Executive Vice President and Global Chief Risk Officer for Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (»»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿). He leads »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿¡¯s global enterprise risk management efforts and oversees enterprise research and development, as well as content, reputation, and brand management. He is a member of »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿'s Executive Committee.
As the leader of »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿¡¯s Global Risk and Strategic Enablement function (GRSE), Jonathan spearheads »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿'s comprehensive approach to enterprise risk management while driving strategic alignment across the organization. His GRSE teams anticipate potential risks and opportunities and help »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿¡¯s global business units pursue their strategic objectives. Jonathan¡¯s leadership encompasses both enterprise risk management ¡ª responsible for company-wide risk governance, strategies, solutions, and analytics ¡ª and strategic enablement, which provides expert guidance to »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿ business leads across pricing, biometric risks, products, market risks, operations, and innovation and R&D.
Jonathan has deep insights into »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿¡¯s global business, having previously served as Chief Pricing Actuary of International Markets, and more recently as Senior Vice President, Global Analytics and In-Force Management.
Before joining »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿ in 2008, Jonathan worked for Manulife Financial for almost 15 years, where his last position was Chief Financial Officer, US Life Insurance.
He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA).
